Danielle Dasher first heard the Gospel of Matthew read at a small gathering in rural Mexico. As she says, "God used that story to turn my life upside down." The Gospel of Matthew is the story of Jesus' birth, his calling to ministry by John the Baptist, and his sermon on the mount. It's one of three Gospels written by different authors but is most often thought about as it relates to Jesus' death and resurrection. Dasher has recorded the Gospel of Matthew over thirty times, including for her own church in California. She also records the Gospel of John and the Book of Acts. She's well known among Christian musicians for her devotion to Christian music. She is the founder and president of Nettwerk Productions, a producer of Christian music that she formed with her husband Mark Miller in 1983. They led Nettwerk through its first decade as one of the most well known Christian record labels in America, producing artists like Redman, Kari Jobe, Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Mary Mary and TobyMac. Dasher is also known as the producer of the pop gospel projects Side A by Melissa Helser, who has released three albums on Nettwerk; and Maria Taylor, whose first album for the label is most likely to be released in 2013. Taylor was nominated for two Grammy Awards in 2012, one for Best Gospel Album (for her self-titled debut) and another for Best Gospel Performance with "Live at Luther College" (for Maria Taylor & The Taylor Smith Family Band). She has also received multiple Dove award nominations. Dasher has produced albums by Jennifer Knapp, Michael Cravey and others including "Gods Gift To You" by Jamie Grace. All have received platinum, gold or multi-platinum certification from RIAA. She also worked with singer/songwriter Nicole C. Mullen to produce her debut album "That's Why I Pray." Dasher's Nettwerk Productions has helped many artists reach the top of the gospel charts in America, including Amy Grant, Mary Mary, Chris Tomlin, Michael W. Smith, Mandisa and Jeremy Camp. Notable Christian rock bands that have recorded albums for Nettwerk include Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline and Petra. Two notable pop artists who have recorded albums for Nettwerk are Melissa Helser and Maria Taylor. Helser's album "Side A" was released in 2012. Taylor released her self-titled album on Nettwerk in 2011. Other notable Christian bands that have recorded albums for Nettwerk are TobyMac, Rend Collective Experiment, Lincoln Brewster, House of Heroes, The Museum and We As Human. Dasher cites her husband Mark Miller as a major influence in adding the pop/rock/hip-hop category to Christian music. She points out that when she began producing Christian music with him, the genre was dominated by bands like Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith who were primarily doing acoustic worship music. cfa1e77820
